TO KNOW CHRIST AND TO BE COMMITTED DISCIPLES IN
GOD'S KINGDOM HERE ON EARTH
The Sunday Morning class is continuing to explore the practice of spirituality. Jesus’ life and death, culminating with his resurrection, provides the foundation for living a Christian life “in the Spirit.”
With this foundation, we are considering topics in “Spirituality 101,” followed by a look at our Presbyterian roots in “Reformed Spirituality.” We will conclude with the practice of “Older Adult Spirituality.”
We are now meeting every Sunday morning in the church library, wearing masks and observing social distancing guidelines.
Please join us! We have engaging and inspiring conversations regarding our walk of faith.
The annual Mullen Lecture program seeks to bring in acclaimed speakers from diverse theological backgrounds during the summer season. This year, the Mullen Lecture committee is delighted to announce Prof. Maxwell Miller as our 2021 presenter at First Presbyterian Church on Sunday, September 12, and Monday, September 13.
Prof. Miller’s encounter with the Middle East has spanned over 50 years and includes archaeological fieldwork in Jordan, Israel and Syria. His most recent book, Discover the Holy Land, follows numerous other publications on biblical history and archaeology.
His presentation will review how the Israeli-Palestinian conflict has unfolded during his half-century of research in the Middle East, and will offer observations about the current dilemma.
