TO KNOW CHRIST AND TO BE COMMITTED DISCIPLES IN
GOD'S KINGDOM HERE ON EARTH
I had a safe and productive trip to Bolivia. Oscar Penalosa, Ebert Ortea and I were able to get a lot accomplished. We took water samples from San Lorenzo to check the fluoride levels. We visited all of our communities, and took parts to most of them. We repaired the San Juan Co-Op system replacing several parts. Regrettably the system is Villa Amboro is still not being operated. We are establishing a partnership with ETTA Projects, a Bolivian non-profit to help with a new main tank in Villa Amboro and on-going education in all of our communities. We went to an international trade show in Santa Cruz and found three suppliers of Reverse Osmosis systems in Bolivia. This type of system could solve our problems with both Iron and Fluoride in the water. If you want more details, click here I kept a diary of my trip. Thanks for your prayers – they worked.
The FPCH Bolivian Mission Team was able to visit all five communities where FPCH has previously installed water purification systems. We were delighted by the work and efforts we saw in almost every community. We rejoice with several communities that they have been able to grow and expand the distribution of clean water to more people in need. We lamented with, but also encouraged other communities who struggle to keep their system viable due to complications of politics, distance, and poverty. We ask that the congregation continue to pray for all of the wonderful people with whom we work and serve in Bolivia.
